PROJECT DESCRIPTION
I aimed to enhance my rigging and walk cycle skills with this project, challenging myself to journey from a basic sketch to a fully animated character. I began with rough sketches on paper to visualize the shapes and overall look I desired. Subsequently, I transitioned the sketch to Illustrator, vectorizing its primary shapes. From there, I pondered the details and potential poses for the character, sketching different facial expressions and variations from the initial T-pose. I then segmented the T-pose into layers for transition into After Effects.
Once in After Effects, I meticulously named each layer and embarked on the rigging process using DUIK. After the intricate rigging, I focused on animation, delving deeper into animation fundamentals.
I'm quite satisfied with the outcome — a valuable exercise for my growth.
